dotPhoto and Digipix Partner to Deliver First Complete Mobile
Wireless Photo Service in Brazil

Led by a new regional Managing Director, dotPhoto partners with Brazil’s Digipix to provide complete end-to-end wireless photo sharing and photo-finishing applications, storage capabilities, and delivery logistics to a previously untapped market

Trenton, N.J.—May 31, 2006— dotPhoto, a leading provider of photo, video, and multimedia applications, content, and services for wireless and Web users, today announced the entrance of its wireless division under Pictavision® and MyApps® into the vibrant Brazilian market through a strategic partnership with Digipix. With its digital photo technology and printing solutions for the largest Web retailers and telco portals in Brazil, Digipix’s services significantly expand dotPhoto’s wireless photography presence in South America. This alliance also establishes Brazil’s first complete end-to-end mobile wireless photo service, offering users the ability to store images; create albums; and print, share, and create customized postcards and picture books, all directly from their camera-phones.

“No other organization in Brazil is giving people complete photography services from their camera phones,” says Ivan Ruzic, President and CEO of dotPhoto. “We’ve combined Digipix’s world-class local photo storage, photo printing, and logistics capabilities on the Web with dotPhoto’s Pictavision portfolio, and now offer the leading wireless picture taking, viewing, sharing and printing applications for mobile phones.”

The comprehensive portfolio of innovative wireless applications includes Pictavision, a mobile photo and video control, sharing, and editing application, which will integrate with Digipix and other leading photo, video, community, and blogging Web sites worldwide; Pictavision Teleprints, for printing and delivery of camera phone pictures; Pictavision Postcards, for special occasion postcards by postal service; and Pictavision Games, which allows consumers fun and entertaining ways to utilize their camera phone pics.

In addition, Pictavision applications are fully compatible with all domestic and international BREW and Java carriers, giving Brazil’s mobile subscribers full access to the best features of dotPhoto and Digipix combined, including unlimited storage for online albums, and direct home delivery of digital prints. This broad accessibility and innovation also helps wireless carriers increase their MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) revenue by making it easy for camera phone users to shoot pictures and videos; annotate, tag, and upload them to the Internet; automatically print or merchandise them straight from their phone; instantly share them through multimedia shows; and post them on Web sites, blogs, and other online communities.

“dotPhoto’s mobile application was the missing link—the essential element that makes our storage, sharing, and printing capabilities available to end users through their mobile phones,” says Marco Perlman, founder and CEO of Digipix. “Finally, Brazil’s 90 million mobile phone subscribers can take advantage of the same Web-based photo and video services that digital camera users have long enjoyed.”

Johan K. Norvik, dotPhoto’s Managing Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, spearheaded this alliance. He joined the company in January 2006, and is responsible for all sales and business development, partnership and vendor relationships, and marketing for dotPhoto in those regions. He has over 15 years experience in the telecommunication industry and the Latin American telecom market specifically.

“Adding Johan’s depth of experience to our management team reflects our strategic drive to build a presence in the Latin American and Caribbean regions,” says Jiren N. Parikh, Vice President and GM of Wireless for dotPhoto. “His leadership, coupled with our exciting Digipix partnership, helped dotPhoto rapidly penetrate the Brazilian market, and made our application suites available in Spanish and Portuguese. These advances are helping dotPhoto bring millions of new users worldwide into the digital era.”
