On Mom's 83rd Birthday, August 19,2003, 6 days before I left Hawaii for Brazil I took two hours early in the morning to sit with Mom's ashes before swimming out and spreading them at the front of the Lagoon. (The center is where the water is flowing out, comes in on either side.) Was a gorgeous morning, as was the case much of the time in the western part of Oahu. Was on Lagoon #2 in the Ko Olina Resort, (one of four). This lagoon will have a Ritz Carlton Hotel on it in a few years. Is a place you can find easily if you visit Oahu. Sat for quite a while and talked about a lifetime and all the things one could be thankful for. (All the kids). Kay's ashes are also in Kennebunk at Goose Rocks beach. That day it was pouring rain and freezing, not conducive to ceremony. She made it to Hawaii and now is part of the Atlantic and Pacific.........Pay her a visit sometime.
