This year's Andrea Bocelli concert, was every bit as wonderful and well organized as last year's concert (at the Bank Atlantic Center on Feb. 14th, 2012--this year it is now the BB&T Center) in Sunrise, Ft Lauderdale, Florida. As usual, I was able to capture some great images of Andrea Bocelli, as well as the female singers that accompanied him on several of his songs, with my LITTLE, but amazing, Nikon one-button, point-and-shoot camera (NOT my BIG Nikon D 5100 SLR) which has an amazing amount of zoom (26X) has a 16 Megapixel sensor, and, having learned how to use the exposure compensation control on it, I am able to capture sharp and clear and rich images, without the stage lighting washing out the facial features * of the performers--and without any flash! My point-and-shoot Nikon camera is no longer available in stores, and I suspect that Nikon removed it from the market because it was so good that it might have been interfering with their sales of big, much more expensive SLR (single lens reflex--interchangeable lens) cameras. (Look at the difference between picture # 4275 and # 4278 right after it and you will see what I mean by "exposure compensation" and how, without it, the second image--# 4278--is all washed out.)
