William and I went to Italy for our 17th Anniversary! It was great. Venice was unlike any other place I've ever seen. Entirely built on water you must walk everywhere. And where you cannot walk, you go by water. Its streets are winding and narrow and eerily quiet without a city's usual traffic noise. No matter how many times you have seen it in movies or on TV, the real thing is more surreal and dreamlike than you ever imagined.
