Here's another online album of my third trip to Thailand where I attended my favorite g'friend Nok's wedding.
I met the beautiful bride over 6 yrs ago. She was about to start her master’s degree at one of the top universities in Tokyo. I didn't have too many friends back then as I left Japan right after my final (piano) and I was never really settled in one place for the next few years.
So naturally, the sweetest girl that I met at a small cozy bar in Shibuya became a very good friend.
She is smart, caring, sweet, considerate and charming with amazing inner strength, too.
She introduced me to some of her friends and one of them became my sister-figure bestfriend who now lives in Perth, Australia. (The last time we all got together was Oct-Nov 2003 in London where Harumi resided - this time, she couldn't make it as she just had a baby)
I missed lots of events that Harumi and Nok planned together (and invited me to) while all of us were in Tokyo as I was pretty domesticated back then, but our friendship lasted (thank god they didn’t give up on me!!!!!) and despite the fact that we all live in different countries now, memories of those two girls who took some very important role in my life will always stay in the warmest part of my heart and as I go down the memory lane, I can’t help but feel thankful that they stayed such sweet friends to me all these years.
The time in Bangkok turned out to be a disaster as I had a fever and had to overdose Tylenor for two full days to survive through the wedding night and boat party night – which automatically makes my nights alcohol-free which is almost a torture for me.
And I threw up the only Thai food I had the entire time I was in Thailand before going to the airport...which is ironic because Thai food is my first favorite kind of food and before the trip, I avoided going to Thai restaurants in Tokyo because I thought I was gonna have tons while I was in Thailand...
Ouch.
Oh well, there's always "next time" I guess.
Anyway, wedding pictures follow some pictures from Phuket where I took a small vacation beforehand.
Enjoy!!!!!!!! |
