The 2009 Silver Fox Tournament teed off last Friday afternoon, April 24, at Governor's Run in Lamar, and dozens of golfers (of varying skill levels) turned up to enjoy the summery weather, play the well-manicured eighteen hole championship course, and raise money to benefit athletics and academics at Lamar High School.
Each year, the Silver Fox Tournament honors the outstanding athletic heritage of Lamar High by paying tribute to a selected individual or team. This year, the tournament committee chose to spotlight the 1966 LHS football team, cheerleaders and coaches at a reception on the evening before the tournament. |
